I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and have recently retired from full time employment after 43 years working in the oil and aviation sectors. I now spend my time as a casual bartender with the MRC , volunteering in Aged Care and catching up with family and friends.
With regards to ACCA, I’ve only recently joined the Board but have been a member since 2021. My motivation for joining the Association and now assuming a role on the Board stems from my deep commitment to preserving and advancing Calabrese culture and traditions. A legacy affectionately passed down by both my father (who emigrated in 1955) and my mother (who emigrated in 1957). My wish is that I can carry forward their legacy for our future generations.
Calabria also has a special place in my heart as I was fortunate enough to visit twice, the first time in 2015 which was a life changing experience and then again in 2019. I loved my time in Calabria where I had the pleasure of connecting with relatives who graciously welcomed me into their homes and made me feel truly at ease in this remarkable place.
