Australian Calabrese Cultural Association

ACCA established the Calabrese of the Year Award in order to:

· Recognise outstanding individuals with Calabrese heritage and the positive contribution they have made to the community

· Publicise and celebrate the positive contribution made by Calabrese in Australia in their various fields of endeavour

· Correct the negative stereotype of the Calabrese projected by the Australian media

Each year since the inception of the Calabrese of the Year Award in 2019 ACCA has sought nominations of exceptional candidates for the Award from the community in an endeavour to celebrate the positive Calabrese contribution to society.
